The house at Kensington Road is a fine example of the Late Victorian style, constructed entirely on timber but giving the impression of masonry, with symmetrical gables to the street facade and an ornate cast iron verandah, all set within a large landscaped garden. The project involved two phases of work. The first was the addition of a large family room opening off the existing kitchen, with a mezzanine study and attached screened porch. The second was for a new wing at the rear of the house, including a games room and additional bedrooms, and a large outdoor deck to take maximum advantage of the garden outlook.
